July 27, 30-31, 2016
Organizing Authority & Host Club: Long Beach Island YRA and BBYC/BBSF
Rules & Eligibility: All
events are governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the
prescriptions of US Sailing, the 2016 LBIYRA Rules & Regulations
for Junior Events and are open to skippers and crew who are members of
clubs affiliated with the LBIYRA.
Schedule:
Juniors - Wednesday, July 27th
Classes: Optimist Dinghy (White, Blue & Red), Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, Sunfish, and C420
Registration: At BBYC 0830-0930 prior to Skippers Meeting at 0930
Breakfast, MYO lunch and post-race refreshments/snack provided to skippers, crews and coaches
Fee: $10 per Junior
Trophies: Awarded immediately following the last race
“Seniors” - Saturday, July 30th
Classes: Lightning, Mariner, Sanderling and Sandpiper
Registration: 0830 – 0930
Skippers Meeting: 0930, Harbor Gun 1000, Warning Signal 1100
Breakfast and post-race refreshments/snacks provided to skippers and crew
Lunch: BYO
Fee: $10 / boat
Trophies: Awarded immediately following the last race
“Open” - Sunday, July 31st
Classes: Open Laser and Open Sunfish
Registration: 0830 – 0930
Skippers Meeting: 0930, Harbor Gun 1000, Warning Signal 1100
Breakfast and post-race refreshments/snacks provided to skippers
Lunch: BYO
Fee: $10 / boat
Trophies: Awarded immediately following the last race
General:
Three (3) boats per class to start. For the “Juniors”, there are
five (5) races per class planned. For the “Seniors” and ”Open” classes,
there are four (4) races per class planned but one (1) race constitutes
a regatta. If four races are completed, there will be one “drop”.
